We are incredibly saddened to share the news of the death of our friend and colleague, Craig Sabasch. Craig worked with North South Travel for 20 years. RIP dear friend.
November 3, 1961 - October 9, 2022
Craig left us on October 9th in the early morning at Vancouver General Hospital. There he lost his battle with Acute Pancreatitis. He was born and raised in Calgary, but was a Vancouver resident by his early twenties.
Craig was one of a kind; he had a sharp wit, quick sense of humour and a huge heart that was known by everyone he loved. Craig worked as a Travel Advisor for over 40 years; he was one of the top in the business and was very proud of the work he did. Craig loved 80's music, sauvignon blanc, shopping at Macy's, sharing his favourite TV shows whether you liked them or not, travelling in style, barbecuing pork tenderloin with potatoes in tinfoil and making killer blender drinks. He spent numerous days walking or cycling along many Vancouver waterfronts. Craig volunteered every week with AIDS Vancouver Supplementary Grocery Store; he was so happy to give back to his community.
He will be greatly missed by all who were lucky enough to know him.
A Celebration of Life will be held on November 4, 2022 at 2 p.m. at the Vancouver Kearney Funeral Services location on West 2nd Avenue. In lieu of flowers please donate to aidsvancouver.org
