St Regis & W Hotel Punta Mita

I was invited on a FAM trip with Marriott Luxury Brands to experience their beautiful hotels in Punta Mita, Mexico.

I flew with Westjet and it was my first experience with their new premium economy seat configuration which has two large seats rather than the regular three with the middle seat blocked off- so that was great! We even got menu’s for lunch – fancy 😊

There was definitely a WOW factor arriving at the St Regis Punta Mita (45 minutes North of Puerto Vallarta). Hard to get tired of this view from the lobby!

The resort features beautifully appointed rooms with Mexican décor. It’s worth noting, all room types come with butler at the St. Regis- which is a nice touch and they’re so happy to help with any requests you may have.

The property is quite spread out so lots of walking around but that was fine with me as there was always another amazing lunch or dinner around the corner!

I found the food we had as a group to be outstanding – lots and lots of fresh seafood, it was fabulous!

The St Regis has three beautiful pools; one main pool, one kids pool and then one pool exclusively for adults.

If you are more of a beach person, you’ll be pleased to know their loungers were nicely spaced out, unlike other resorts I’ve experienced where one feels like you are stacked up to your neighbour.

Overview of the resort below:

I love to golf too, and the St Regis has two world-class golf courses on property!

Next stop was the W Punta Mita which has a very chill vibe about it... very colourful and tastefully decorated.

We all had “ Spectacular King “ rooms which are spacious and fun.

The resort is family friendly, although personally I felt it had more of an adults only type feel.

There were beautiful walkways everywhere. Down by the beach you could find their adult's only pool which was lovely!

The hotel was situated on a great stretch of beach so you can go for long walks and the area is also good for surfing.

We had a chance to try all the dining venues and I would have to give them a 10 out of 10. They had an awesome restaurant there called the Spice Market – Asian fusion which in my experience in Mexico is pretty hit and miss but this was really, really good.

We did an afternoon excursion to the town of Sayulita which I would recommend to clients as an outing for a lunch and shopping . Quaint little shops and street vendors everywhere!

On my way home, I flew with Transat and paid for their Club Class seats. I was impressed with the size of the comfy seats and spacious legroom. This was my first time on Transat and I would definitely recommend paying the extra for the comfort!

It was a beautiful trip to Punta Mita and it was a wonderful opportunity to try out these two hotels, both of which I highly recommend to my clients!
