ADVENTURE, ENHANCED
Have you checked out the full lineup of National Geographic Journeys with G Adventures yet? National Geographic Journeys with G Adventures are here and they’re ready to take you into the world in ways you’ve never imagined. Travel to a rhino conservation program in Kenya. Plant trees in a Costa Rican cloud forest with a biologist from a National Geographic-funded research centre. Get motivated to walk the streets of Delhi with a former street youth. Feel inspired to discover your very own journey!
One of their newest adventures is the 14 Day Discover Patagonia trip!
Both culture and geology are dramatic in Patagonia, and there’s no way to experience them quite like jumping right in and seeing for yourself. Take in the colours of Buenos Aires with a local tango lesson before heading into nature to explore Torres del Paine National Park and the humbling Perito Moreno Glacier. Standing at the end of the Earth is an experience the adventurous side of you will never forget.

HIGHLIGHTS:
CRUCE DE LOS LAGOS CRUISE
Chile’s Lake District has few rivals when it comes to sheer scenic grandeur. Cross the placid Lago Todos Los Santos aboard a catamaran and marvel at vast mountainscapes and stunning views that’ll have your shutter finger working overtime.
GLACIER TALK
In the scenic town of El Calafate, take in a lecture by a local glacier expert and learn all about the Perito Moreno Glacier and the Southern Patagonian Ice Field that feeds it.
LOCAL TANGO LESSON
Take part in a tango lesson taught by dancers at a local studio rarely visited by travellers. Once you’ve practiced your new steps, it’s time for a milonga, a local tradition where students and teachers drop by the studio to practice their moves. Sit back and enjoy, or join in if you’re feeling brave.
PENGUIN ROOKERY & BEAGLE CHANNEL EXCURSION
Make the march to the penguins. Travel to Martillo Island by minibus and boat to explore the rookery, home to some 1,000 penguin nests. Follow your naturalist guide along trails amongst Magellanic and gentoo penguins (who live there between September and April).
"I think the ratio of jaw-dropping sights per square kilometer is higher here [Torres del Paine] than perhaps anywhere else in the world."—Jonathan Irish, contributing photographer for National Geographic Traveler
